Ken Grady is Lean Law Evangelist for Seyfarth Shaw LLP and an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University College of Law. Ken frequently speaks on issues affecting the legal industry, including innovation, technology, leadership, efficiency, and change management. Ken’s articles and posts have been featured in many publications and he is the editor and principal author of the blog SeytLines.com, named to the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100. He has been named to the Fastcase 50, and honored by the Financial Times for innovative leadership of in-house counsel/outside counsel relationships, and his industry views have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Crain’s, The American Lawyer, Canadian Lawyer Magazine, Legal Futures, and other publications. Ken’s career has included being CEO of SeyfarthLean Consulting, LLC, a Seyfarth Shaw subsidiary; general counsel roles at Fortune 1000 corporations; executive positions in Fortune 500 and 1000 corporations; and being a partner in the multinational law firm McDermott, Will & Emery. He has worked with technology in the legal industry for more than 30 years, having developed litigation discovery database applications early in his career.
